i've been watching baseball playoffs for a long time now.....that's what i've been up to......i'm not "going" for any team cause the cubbies aren't in it...but i do however favor the red sox this post season what about you? i predicted the world series would be the astros and the yankees.......i was wrong huh?

yo...............it's me matt. havn't updated this in a long long time....all kinds of things i could write about but i won't cause i'm lazy. tonite was a good time...i came to st.louis and saw only crime play at the creepy crawl..but on top of that i got to see my toots sarah b.,jessica, david, neil and thomas. hadn't seen thomas in forever and it was good to see him...he looks good too. only crime was great and it was cool seeing bill stevenson again......and to watch him play drums is even cooler. but yeah i don't wanna do this anymore cause its boring and hard to type so thats all you get..............................................

WOW.............i didn't know it had been this long since i had updated my journal...........anyway.......many many many many many many things have happened since then..........i got held up at gun point....watched the cubs fall 12 games behind the gay st.louis cardinals and gone on a couple of tours......right now i'm in seatle (one t of 2?) washington and in a few days will be chillin in southern california..i can't freakin wait...its gonna be a good time....we've had a grand time here in seatle....we hung out at tooth and nail and got a bunch of free crap and got to eat breakfast with the big dog branden ebel...free cd's and food are fun..tonite we played graceland with mock orange and some other bands...cool venue...i found out later on in the nite that pearl jam played their very first show there on the same stage...pretty cool huh? or i mean not that cool huh? depends on how you look at it i guess. let's see what else....i guess if i wanted i could tell EVERYTHING thats gone on in my life the last 5 months but that is just silly......oooooo here is something interesting...we (side walk slam) may soon be changing our name....why you ask? because we want to. anyway.........here are some ideas that have come up so far.....THE YOUNG, RUN KID RUN (don't ask) and BREAK IT UP.....let me know if you like any of them.....and don't steel them or i'll murder you and yours...kidding again.......or maybe i'm not....um..........yeah....this tour has been great....gotten to hang out with friends we havn't seen in a while and we're making new ones....ethan and jon from supertones, paul from seatle, all the dudes from dogwood, the guys (and lady) from number one gun, everyone from tooth and nail....it's great seeing everyone again and for the first time....ha ha ha.........yeah i guess that is it for now.......let me know about the band names..........PEACE LOVE AND HARMONY..............MATT.

v-day was great i had a wonderful time with my babe.......we ate at skeeters then saw 50 first dates..i wonder how many couples saw that movie on that same day??????anyway........she bought me anchor's away by bouncing souls...which i LOVE does anyone else? .....she got me some other stuff but that was my fav. gift......the best part was just getting to spend time with her....it had been a while......
so yeah i got to chill in st.louis for three days check out what i did today when she was at work and i PROMISE to you i'm not lying...................to make a long story short i was walking around town and stopped to check out busch stadium where the cardinals (puke) play......i found a door that was unlocked and i got into the stadium where i wondered around all by myself and eventually ended up on the field and then into the cardinals dugout....all alone.....i sat there for a minute and thought about all the history there was right where i was sitting...it was freakin crazeee...if your a baseball fan you'll understand.......then i walked back in their club house/locker room and looked around......at that point i was kinda like ok...i think i might get in trouble if i'm caught in there so....i went out on the field stood at home plate acted like i was hitting home runs......ran out in right field stood there for a while then i left.....that was that.....a free tour of busch stadium all alone......it was kinda creepy being in there all by myself.....that stadium seats over 50,000 people.......but today it was only i............i wish i woulda had my camera......o well...i freakin can't wait for baseball to start.....they should play that sport year around...........
and to add to my day of fun...i hit a lady in a wheelchair with my van....NO I'M NOT LYING again to make a long story short..traffic was BARELY moving and i didn't see them (there was another lady pushing her) cause i have duck tape on my side panel window where a deer busted it out....so yeah.....she was ok....i think and hope.....and i was like AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH.....so yeah..today i broke into busch stadium and hit a lady in a wheelchair...what did you do???????
ooooo......and i want to say that i was more than HONORED to be dennis wolfe's best man at his wedding last weekend......it was cool to be that close and watch the 2 love birds get hitched ........i hope they have a happy and healthy marriage.........

SINCE IT IS CLOSE TO V-DAY I'D LIKE TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO MY TOOTS SARAH B. SARAH I LOVE YOU AND I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR ME. I KNOW I'M A SCREW UP BUT YOU STILL WORK THROUGH MY FAULTS BECAUSE YOU LOVE ME SO MUCH AND THAT MEANS A LOT TO ME.....I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.............
i'm not doin much i've been with my homie ryan for like 3 days straight....its cool cause i never get to see em so yah.......we're in carmi right now.....with dave, neil, t-bone and ben....playin poker and chillin.......we had death and taxes practice yesterday and tomorrow we are laying down all of the music tracks so that should be a blast...........
on a sad note.....we sold ESTER today....for $100 it was sad to see her go........lots of memories in that van.......moment of silence please.........

well i'm out and about on the road.....here are the highlights of this tour.
i got held up at gun point at a waffle house.........which was very scary......enjoy everyday you're alive cause it could end really quick..........all the guy had to do was squeeze his finger about an inch and my life would have been over....it was a scary thought to think i was that close to seeing what is after death...............but i'm alive so its all good..........
i had to doody on the side of the interstate.........runny poo it was gross......
i've been sick for the last 5 or 6 days.....like sucky sick..........
we hung out at myrtle beach.........
hung out in miami.........
met a guy who was in prison with mike ness (so he says).........
bumped into a car at a red light........
found out things about the music industry that sicken me.......
made new friends with the guys in hawk nelson.........
havin fun chillin with the one 21 boys.......
played a drumset for a show that had (seriously) 17 cymbals....................
bug was born........
death and taxes is getting ready to rule the world.........
ooooooo i got a free cell phone so that rules.............word to kelli.........
hung out with the part time guys ............i love them........
learned the guitar part to police on my back........
got my picture taken with the north and south carolina signs.......
tour is great......music is fun........ok folks i gotta run..........matt bug.........

didn't really update everything on my last entry...........it was an ode to music so yeah.......anyway.........
i went to warped tour......it wasn't really what i expected but it was good........i finally got to see RANCID so that was really cool......tim is one cool dude...........rancid, andrew w.k. and less than jake were the best shows.........afi didn't play cause of rain.........sucky but hey stuff happens i guess.........
went to and played cstone......it was cool seeing everyone and hanging out n stuff.....all the bands i had seen zillions of times so yeah.........the best shows were.....one 21, blindside, mewithoutyou, zao, stretch, the deal, side walk slam, and.............i guess thats it.....probably forgot some but o well.......ooooooo the remnants....they were good too......in my opinion they should change the name of cornertone to ........the FASHION SHOW FESTIVAL............
recorded two videos..........that was really really fun.......it'll be one of the coolest memories i have about the band when its all over.............mon....everyone came to go nuts for our "live video".....lots of familiar and unfamiliar faces..........maybe we'll be on tv soon??????????????????? 2 people came from north dakota and 2 from minisotta just for the shoot..........isn't that the stuff?????/......i feel like i "substitute"(sp?) cuss a lot.............hahahahahah.....o well.........
just been working my butt off all week with walter........but he's good to work for.......nicest guy in the world........it's fun chillin and working with him..........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is good too..........i'm getting burnt to the crisp.....it's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HOT.....i wish i could work in my boxers........
well i'm out.......weekend coming up.......have a show sat thats about it.........havn't talked to anybody this week......like nobody .......its wierd...........just me and my brother here..........ah the life of a "working man"........peace out homies..........

as cheesy as this may sound i'm still gonna say it....after all isn't having a live journal cheezy????? anyway........music is freaking amazing....like how it can make you feel.....ya know........today i was out working with walter just bummed out.......kinda just like whatever about everything......we went out to eat for lunch and on the way back to work "message in a bottle" came on the radio and just lifted my spirits....it was so cool.....music is a VERY VERY VERY VERY powerful tool..................so yeah.....this entry is an ode to music........go listen to some............peace out.

today i got a new phone.......
got $34.50 for a refund on my blindside ticket (deeray had paid not me) 35 bucks is a f'n rip off.......screw the music industry.....
went cliff jumping yesterday.......
goin to see warped tour in 2 days with sarah and everyone else.......i can't wait to see RANCID....never seen them live and i know its gonna be great..........andrew w.k. will "rock the house" i'm sure....and um........afi....slick shoes and all those other silly punk rockers that decided to try and start some revolution will be good also....peace out........just for the record warped tour is 25 bucks and you get to see a million freaking bands that are really good........lincoln park tickets were 35 bucks....and they cancelled..........every single member and that band and any friends they might have all suck..............i hope they have terrible lives..........kidding....kind of.........later.

just chillin in detroit...........i'm out for 4 shows and tonite is a house party with part-time.........it's gonna be so fun..it's already loud here.....some crappy hardcore band blaring over the stereo and dave and neil "jammin" downstairs.....wow.......we're playing downstairs for a few people....should be pretty punk rawk.........SARAH B. the pics you have are awesome.......i wish i was in that company........especially with "mr.anthony" as you put it.........peace out........ps we're on 6 mile rd..........2 away from 8 mile........maybe we'll run into eminem.......
